Terms and Conditions

1. Our Commitment

Zanisaack Tours & Safaris strives to provide outstanding safari experiences in Tanzania. All services detailed in the itinerary will be delivered unless unforeseen circumstances—such as road closures, bad weather, or safety concerns—require adjustments. We will notify clients of any changes and provide alternatives of comparable value and experience.

2. Travel in Africa

Clients acknowledge that travel conditions in Tanzania and other parts of Africa differ from those in developed countries. Sudden changes in government fees (e.g., park fees or taxes) may occur, and Zanisaack Tours & Safaris reserves the right to pass such changes to the client.

3. Payments

  • A 45% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

  • Airline tickets must be paid in full upon booking.

  • The balance is due 65 days before the start date.

  • Bookings made within 65 days of departure require 100% upfront payment.

4. Methods of Payment

We accept bank wire transfers only. All transfer fees are the client’s responsibility.

5. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be in writing. Charges apply as follows:

Amendments to confirmed bookings cost €150.

6. Website Pricing

All prices on our website are per person, based on two-person occupancy, and are in USD. Costs like visas, tips, insurance, and personal expenses are not included unless stated. Prices are indicative and may change. Confirmed quotations are valid for 14 days.

7. Travel Documents

Final travel documents (e.g., e-tickets, vouchers, and labels) are issued two weeks before departure.

8. Insurance (Required)

Travel insurance is mandatory. You must cover:

  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation

  • Repatriation

  • Optional: trip cancellation, baggage loss, and curtailment

Failure to obtain valid travel insurance may lead to cancellation of your booking.

9. Passports & Visas

Clients are responsible for ensuring valid passports and obtaining appropriate visas.

  • Tourist visa cost: $50 USD, or $100 USD for U.S. citizens

  • Validity: 3 months

  • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after departure date

10. Booking Agreement

By confirming a booking with Zanisaack Tours & Safaris, you accept these Terms and Conditions. The lead booking name is responsible for full payment and ensuring all party members agree to these terms.

11. Medical Conditions

Any existing medical conditions or disabilities must be disclosed in writing at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel bookings if adequate arrangements cannot be made.

12. Changes by You

Changes requested after booking confirmation are subject to availability and will incur a fee of:

  • $75 per person, or

  • $100 per person for U.S. citizens

No itinerary changes are allowed within 12 weeks of departure.

13. Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to cancel bookings before full payment is made. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or an alternative of equal value. Compensation: $75 per person, unless cancellation is due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, war, etc.).

14. Amendments by Us

Changes to flight times (by more than 12 hours) or accommodation class may occur. You may:

  • Accept the new arrangements

  • Choose an alternative holiday

  • Cancel and receive a full refund

No compensation is provided for changes caused by force majeure or minor adjustments.

15. Our Responsibility

Zanisaack Tours & Safaris is responsible for supplying travel services with reasonable care and skill. However, we are not liable for:

  • Issues beyond our control (e.g., strikes, weather, third-party errors)

  • Losses due to client negligence or failure to comply with travel requirements

  • Additional excursions not booked through us

  • Infrastructure differences typical in developing countries

Liability for claims is capped at 200% of the holiday cost, excluding claims involving death or injury due to negligence.

16. Third Parties

Activities or excursions arranged through third parties (hotels, guides, local operators) do not form part of your contract with us. We act solely as an agent and accept no liability for their services.

17. Flights and Carriers

Airline and sea travel is subject to carrier terms and international conventions. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or incidents during transportation.

18. Legal Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of Tanzania, and any legal disputes shall be settled in the Courts of Dar es Salaam.

19. Introducers

If you were referred to us by an agent or third party, you agree that all contractual and legal claims must be directed solely to Zanisaack Tours & Safaris.

20. Complaints

Please report any issues immediately to your guide or accommodation provider. If unresolved, submit a written complaint to us within 28 days of your return.
