Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi – Pre-Trek Briefing
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Relax and attend a pre-trek briefing by your mountain guide. Your gear will be checked and final preparations made for the climb.
Day 2: Machame Gate (1,800m) to Machame Camp (2,835m)
After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate where registration and permits are handled. Begin your trek through lush montane forest with stunning views and rich biodiversity. Reach Machame Camp by evening.
🕒 Hiking: 5–6 hours
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,750m)
Today’s climb is steeper as you leave the forest and enter a moorland zone. Hike up to the Shira Plateau with panoramic views of the mountain and its surrounding valleys.
🕒 Hiking: 4–6 hours
Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (3,960m) via Lava Tower (4,630m)
Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp. This day is key for adjusting to the altitude and offers dramatic volcanic scenery.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,035m)
Challenge yourself with the climb up the famous Barranco Wall, then continue through beautiful alpine desert landscapes to Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,640m)
This is your final base before the summit attempt. Hike to Barafu Camp, rest, eat an early dinner, and prepare for the midnight ascent to the top of Kilimanjaro.

Day 7: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) & Descend to Mweka Camp
Start your climb around midnight, trekking through the dark with headlamps to Stella Point, then on to Uhuru Peak. Witness an epic sunrise at Africa’s highest point. After photos and celebration, descend to Barafu for a break, then continue to Mweka Camp.
🕒 Hiking: 12–15 hours
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi
Complete the final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate where you’ll receive your summit certificate. Transfer to your hotel in Moshi to relax and celebrate your achievement.
