Your day starts with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi. A scenic drive takes you to Materuni Village, located about 30 minutes away on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Mid-Morning: Guided Hike to Materuni Waterfalls
With your local guide, hike through banana and coffee farms as you make your way to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, which drops over 90 meters into a refreshing natural pool. You’ll pass scenic views of the valley and Kilimanjaro (on clear days). Enjoy the chance to swim in the cold but refreshing water.
Lunch: Picnic or Local Meal
After exploring the waterfall, you’ll head back to the village for a delicious local Chagga lunch, often including traditional banana stew, rice, vegetables, and seasonal fruits.
Afternoon: Coffee Experience & Cultural Exchange
Join a coffee-making tour led by local farmers. Learn the process from bean picking to roasting over fire and pounding by hand. You’ll even get to brew and taste your own fresh Arabica coffee, all while engaging in traditional Chagga songs and storytelling.
Evening: Return to Moshi
